Nasir Bin Olu Dara’s musical career began in 1991. But the legendary story of this artist began on the very moment he first laid his hands on a trumpet and started writing his own rhythms. He’s been unstoppable ever since. Nas sold 30 million records worldwide. His debut album Illmatic (1994) received universal acclaim from both critics and the hip-hop community and is frequently ranked as one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time.
Vivian Fernandes or “Divine” as we all know him, gained immense popularity after the release of “Mere gully main” which was a collaboration with Naezy. Divine also founded the “Gully Gang” independently on 18th January 2018, which is a new company that aims at recruiting, producing and developing hip-hop talent in India.
Naved Shaikh- Naezy is also an established Indian rapper. Naezy portrays the Indian street culture through his performance. The artist recorded his first song “Aafat” on an Ipad. “Mere gully main” was a breakthrough for both the self-made stars. The artists were discovered by Zoya Akhtar recently and she documented their story in the film “Gully boys” wherein Ranveer plays the role of Naezy.
