This stand-up comedian from Odisha was roasted a lot for being “nothing else but Kanan’s shadow” since he made his debut with Kanan Gill on “Pretentious movie reviews” which became a super hit on Youtube. But Biswa proved to his haters that he doesn’t need anybody to establish himself as the most loved comedian in India that he is now.
His strong narrative skills give him an edge over the other comedians. “I’m an introvert. Tu merko bolega, ja jaake enjoy kar, mein jaake so jayega”. His bit on “Extroverts and their weird ways of enjoying” is a must watch. His unique sense of humor has reserved his place on the top of the list.
2. THE SUPER PAAVAM DUDE- KENNY SEBASTIAN
The guy who exposed the anti-nazar association that had been a secret forever. The guy who unfolded the mystery of every Indian middle class family ever. Danny’s super witty content bring his on the third place in the list. Comedy is a serious business and comedy on social issues is even more serious. Every comedian in India has the constant fear of being behind the bars at some point or the other.
And despite of this dangerous fact, going ahead and joking about the malfunctioning of the country in a way that people do not get offended and it also leaves an impact on the audience is something that this comedian masters in. He’s as cute as he’s funny. Winner of the Bangalore punch line competition, Kanan Gill is well known for his YouTube series “pretentious movie reviews” which also starred Biswa. He was one of the main personalities behind the YouTube Comedy Hunt and also co-hosted the YouTube FanFest India.

Karunesh Talwar became famous overnight after his stand up comedy performance’s video clip about “Parents” took over the internet in 2016. His bits on Masterchef, Cabs, Fairness Creams and Hera Pheri set an unbeatable level in the comedy genre. I’d definitely put my bets on Karunesh Talwar and hope to see him more often behind the mic.
7. LOGICALLY YOURS- RAHUL SUBRAMANIAN
This comedian likes to keep it real and logical. He explains the illogicality that pertains in our society in the most humorous way possible. Rahul Subramanian’s show “Kal Mein Udega” is extremely famous. It is a must watch. Rahul is also been a regular face in numerous AIB videos. His delivery style of punches in a slow and morbid way, steals the shows.

The guy who made you and I question ourselves as to why we respect our elders so much? Abhishek is a young comedian who might look confused all the time but certainly knows his way to the top ten list.

9. THE TINDERELLA- SUMUKHI SURESH
Sumukhi Suresh is an actor, stand-up comedian, writer and director from India. She is popular for writing and acting in comedy sketches, creating viral videos on YouTube, starring in a movie and creating a web series for Amazon Prime,India. In an article, the media portal, Hindustan Times, has called Sumukhi Suresh “India’s Tina Fey”.

10.THE SINDHI WITH A SENSE OF HUMOR – ATUL KHATRI
This 51 year old Sindhi gave up his job to follow his long-loved passion of being a full-time stand up comedian. Atul was the only Indian performer in the Hong Kong comedy festival in 2014. He also won the ‘CEO’s got talent” award and deserves to be recognized as one of the top Indian stand up comedians. Khatri has done over 400 comedy shows, television advertisements and Youtube videos. Khatri was also one of the three finalists at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival held in Delhi in 2012.
11. THE NRI (NON-RACIST DEHRADHUNI) – VIR DAS
Vir Das is an Indian actor, comedian and musician. After beginning a career in standup comedy, Das moved to Hindi cinema starring in films like Delhi Belly, Badmaash Company and Go Goa Gone. In 2017, he entered the international stage with his Netflix special Abroad Understanding.
Das has performed in approximately 35 plays, over 100 stand-up comedy shows, eight TV shows, two movies and six comedy specials. He has written comedic columns for Femina, Maxim, Exotica, DNA and Tehelka. Vir gained tremendous popularity with his bit on “Racism”.
12. JOKES DARKER THAN HER LIPSTICK ,HEELS HIGHER THAN YOUR STANDARDS – ADITI MITTAL
Mittal is one of the better-known faces of the Indian English stand-up comedy scene in India. In 2009, she was one of the first 5 Indians to be featured in an Indians-only stand-up show called Local Heroes, organized by the U.K based “The Comedy Store.” Today, she is a regular at Canvas Laugh Factory, Comedy Store Mumbai and has performed at venues and humor festivals across the country, clubs in UK and at Laugh Factory, Los Angeles.
In 2013, Mittal was invited by the BBC for the prestigious 100 Women Conference in London. She first performed her solo show ‘Things they wouldn’t let me say’ in July 2013 at the Canvas Laugh Factory, Mumbai.
