India’s last visit in Australia in early 2016 where the Blues played the Yellows 5 match One Day Internationals and 3 T20 Internationals. Australia pulled the series away from India by winning with a margin of a 4-1 score in ODI’s.
Despite India scoring 290+ scores in the first innings of the first 3 matches, Australia chased all totals and unlocked some achievements by chasing highest totals at all three venues 309 at WACA, 308 at Gabba and 295 at MCG.
India was not able to chase the total of 348 set by Australia in 4th ODI, although centuries scored by Shikhar Dhawan(126) and Virat Kohli(106) went in vain as India collapsed from a position of 277-1 in 37th over to being all-out for 323 in 49.2 overs, Kane Richardson starred with his career’s first 5-wicket haul in ODI as he finished with figures of 5/68 and Australia went on to win the match by 25 runs.

What to expect?
It will be a thriller to watch as the 2nd ranked India will test struggling Australia at their home. Australia who played 13 One-Day Internationals this year and out of them have only managed to win twice which was a poor performance by Aussies in ODI’s, on the other hand their competitor India has played 20 ODI’s in 2018 and from that they have won 15 times, lost 4 matches and tied against Afganistan. Australia’s batting is imbalanced since the ban of their key batsmen Warner and Smith.
Both sides have met 128 times overall and 48 times in Australia in the past, the Asian Champions have won only 11 times against Australia in Australia. Looking at captain Virat Kohli’s form with the bat and the bowling options for India with Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav being dominant wherever they play they manage to get easy breakthrough for their team.
The last time India won something in Australia was the Commonwealth Bank Series in 2008 under the leadership of MS Dhoni after that they have never won any tri-series or a bilateral ODI series in Australia. As per our Match Predictions India are the favourites to win the series by 2-1.
